Modules may be taken individually or as a full course. The Instructor recommends completing all six modules to qualify for the DVSA Pass Plus certificate.
On successful completion of all six modules, the Instructor will submit the Pass Plus record to the DVSA and the driver will receive a DVSA Pass Plus certificate. The driver can then contact their insurer (or comparison sites) to apply for the associated discount.
The DVSA requires that all six modules are completed to the Pass Plus standard before a certificate is issued. If any module is assessed as not yet at the required standard, additional sessions may be required at the standard hourly rate before the certificate can be submitted.
Before any motorway session, the driver must confirm:
Motorway sessions are conducted in the Instructor's dual-control vehicle, which meets the following standards:
During sessions (including motorway sessions), the driver is covered under the Instructor's motor insurance policy for tuition purposes. The driver's own insurance policy is not required to cover the Instructor's vehicle.
Following completion of Pass Plus or motorway sessions, the driver is advised to notify their own insurer of the additional training completed. Some insurers may require the DVSA certificate number to apply any discount.
Pass Plus modules and motorway sessions are charged at:
Payment is due on the same terms as standard lessons. The full course fee may be paid in advance to secure the discounted course rate.
Standard cancellation policy applies (see the separate Cancellation Policy document). For module sessions that involve significant travel (e.g. motorway sessions requiring a drive to the nearest motorway junction), a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to avoid any cancellation charge.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
